KAMINSKY

Madison Kaminsky is an American composer, pianist, and songwriter.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, she began playing piano as a child and honed her skills by participating in any musical activity that came her way: ensembles, orchestras, musical theater, and more. As a teenager, an opportunity to participate in a Disneyland behind-the-scenes animation film score session inspired her and solidified her dream to have a career as a film composer.

Kaminsky is a graduate of Sonoma State University where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Composition. She recently earned her Film Scoring Certificate from UCLA and had the opportunity to conduct and record her original works to picture at EastWest Studios and The Village. She has since composed music for short films, commercials, and dance performances.

Most recently, Madison worked as a transcription assistant to Academy & Grammy Award-winning composer, Lalo Schifrin, who took a personal interest in mentoring her. His interest, education, and guidance has challenged her in immeasurable ways and continues to have a positive influence on her approach to composition and film scoring.
